Try a Stay at Home Vacation

Instead of heading off on an expensive trip this summer, many people are trying out a “Stay at Home Vacation”. By creating a resort-like experience at home, you can create memories and have a great time at a fraction of the cost.

First of all, you need to decide what you would do at a resort. Would you sign up for the spa first? Or perhaps golf lessons or exercise classes are more your style. If you have children, then you may be heading off to the pool area as soon as you checked in!

Now how do you turn your home into a Stay at Home Vacation Resort? Well, if the spa was your first choice, then consider taking an afternoon to give yourself a facial, a hot bath with candles, and a pedicure. If a round of golf or golf lessons were at the top of your list, then sign up at your local golf course. Moreover, an exercise class can be as simple as renting a video for whatever style workout you’d like.

If you don’t have a pool at your home, there are many water activities you can do instead. Try a water balloon fight or running through the sprinklers to cool off! You could get a small pool to set up in your back yard if it’s something that you and your family can use all summer long.

Basically, the whole idea of a Stay at Home Vacation is to have fun as a family and create great summer memories!
